Rhino Lodge is a budget-friendly lodge set on the eastern rim area of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a few kilometres from the conservation headquarters. Operated in partnership with the local Maasai community, the lodge offers 24 self-contained rooms, each with a private veranda looking out over the surrounding highland forest, and a wood-burning stove to keep guests warm on cold Ngorongoro nights.
Guests dine in a large communal dining room with a local African setting, and can gather around the campfire in the evenings for Maasai storytelling and traditional dance performances.
