Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge sits beneath Tanzania's towering Mto wa Mbu escarpment, offering a peaceful setting amid the rich wildlife of Lake Manyara National Park. The lake is home to over 300 migratory bird species including flamingos, long-crested eagles and the grey-headed kingfisher, an inspiration reflected in the lodge's architecture of sweeping avian curves and vibrant wall frescoes depicting bird migration patterns.
Accommodation is housed in circular, two-storey whitewashed 'rondavels' spread along the cliff edge for spectacular views, each with a private veranda. Interior decor echoes the blue of the lake and pink hues of its flamingos, with handwoven rugs and Maasai-inspired beadwork.
