Day-by-Day Itinerary
You will arrive at Zanzibar International Airport, where our driver will be waiting just outside the arrivals area holding a signboard with your name. Once you confirm the package, you will share your flight details so we can arrange your pickup accordingly, at no extra cost. You will be transferred straight to Tembo House Hotel & Apartments, your beachfront home in historic Stone Town for both nights of this escape. Take the afternoon to settle in, relax together and enjoy your first glimpse of the Indian Ocean. As evening falls, take a romantic stroll to the nearby Forodhani Gardens night market, where you can sample grilled Zanzibari seafood, sugarcane juice and local street food side by side, right on the seafront.
This is your full day of island adventure together. You will head up to Zanzibar’s north coast for a private Sandbank Experience, a stretch of pure white sand rising out of the turquoise sea, perfect for swimming, photos and quiet time as a couple. From there you will continue to Mnemba Island for a snorkelling and dolphin tour, gliding over vibrant coral reefs and, with luck, swimming alongside wild dolphins in their natural habitat. In the afternoon you will unwind at Kendwa Rocks, soaking up the laid-back beach vibes with a cold drink in hand, before making your way to Nungwi beach for one of Zanzibar’s most spectacular sunset moments. You will then return to Tembo House Hotel & Apartments for your second night.
After breakfast, you will set off with a local guide to explore Zanzibar’s spice farms, tasting and smelling spices such as cardamom, cinnamon, black pepper and cloves while learning how they shape the island’s cuisine and culture. From there you will visit Prison Island, home to the giant Aldabra tortoises, for photos and a short walk through its history. You will then return to Tembo House Hotel & Apartments to freshen up and check out. In the afternoon, our driver will transfer you to Zanzibar International Airport in good time for your departure flight, wrapping up your couples’ escape with plenty of memories to take home.
