    Arrival in Moshi

    Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you’ll be met by our AML Travel & Safaris representative and transferred to your hotel in Moshi.     Moshi – Marangu Gate (1,860m) to Mandara Hut (2,700m)

    After breakfast, transfer to Marangu Gate where registration is completed before starting your trek through lush tropical rainforest.     Mandara Hut (2,700m) to Horombo Hut (3,720m)

    The trail gradually ascends through the moorland zone with stunning views of Mawenzi Peak.     Acclimatization at Horombo Hut (3,720m)

    Horombo Hut (3,720m) to Kibo Hut (4,703m)

    Today’s trek takes you through alpine desert terrain, passing the Last Water Point before climbing gradually toward Kibo Hut, located at the foot of the summit cone.     Summit Day – Kibo Hut (4,703m) to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) then down to Horombo Hut (3,720m)

    You’ll start your summit push at midnight, ascending steeply to Gilman’s Point (5,681m) and then to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa.     Horombo Hut (3,720m) to Marangu Gate (1,860m) – Transfer to Moshi

    After breakfast, descend through the lush rainforest back to Marangu Gate, where you’ll receive your summit certificate.
