7 Days Hike Umbwe Route
Detailed Tour Itinerary
Overview
The Umbwe Route is known as the steepest, shortest, and most challenging route up Mount Kilimanjaro. It’s a direct ascent through dense rainforest, narrow ridges, and rugged terrain — perfect for experienced trekkers looking for a thrilling adventure and fewer crowds.
Though demanding, the Umbwe Route rewards climbers with dramatic scenery, peaceful trails, and a sense of raw wilderness as it joins the Machame Route near Barranco Camp. With proper acclimatization and our expert guides, this 7-day trek gives you the best chance to conquer Uhuru Peak (5,895m) — the Roof of Africa.
